BT Pay is Romania's prominent mobile wallet application developed by Banca Transilvania, the country's largest bank, offering comprehensive digital payment functionality for the Romanian market.

Launched in 2017, BT Pay was created as part of Banca Transilvania's digital transformation strategy to address growing demand for mobile financial services. The application quickly gained popularity, becoming one of Romania's most widely used mobile payment platforms and accelerating digital payment adoption throughout the country.

BT Pay offers a broad range of features including NFC contactless payments at terminals, money transfers between users, bill payments, public transportation tickets, meal vouchers, loyalty card storage, ATM withdrawals using phone instead of card, and instant issuance of virtual cards. The platform also includes personal financial management tools such as spending analysis and budgeting features.

While initially designed for Banca Transilvania customers, the application has expanded to allow users to add cards from other banks, broadening its utility. BT Pay represents Romania's financial sector evolution, combining traditional banking security with innovative mobile functionality.
